Our goal is to provide the best possible match for you and your dog or cat.
Our staff will work with you to identify your interests and needs to provide the best possible match for your home. Once that match has been determined, please follow these steps to complete the adoption process.
The detailed adoption process is outlined on the dog and cat adoption pages of the web site.
As a no-kill shelter, Teddy's Rescue can only take in as many animals as we currently have space for, and animals that will be a good fit for our shelter environment. By law, all lost or stray animals must go the Animal Control Division of the Humane Society & SPCA of Hancock County.
We accept owner-surrender animals. Pet owners should contact the rescue to provide information about the dog or cat for evaluation for surrender. For those animals accepted, we will schedule an intake appointment for a temperament and health evaluation as space becomes available.
There is a surrender fee of $30 for cats and $40 for dogs.
Teddy's Rescue, Inc. is a no-kill shelter. We do not euthanize due to time constraints or due to an animal's breed or age.
